The 2024 Lensbury Squash Club Championship came down to a mighty battle between top seed Charlie McCall and 3rd seed Rob Easton. Rob had taken out the 2nd seed Adam Redmayne in a hard fought semi final and continued his fine form in the final. Taking the game to Charlie, Rob snuck a brutal first game 15-13. Charlie won the next two games, but Rob won the 4th game including saving a match point to take the match into a deciding game. It was nip and tuck all the way, but Charlie took the honours 11-9 in the 5th for his 4th Club Championship. That was Rob’s last match at The Lensbury as he has returned to New Zealand with his family after six years at the club.
Everyone at The Lensbury congratulates Charlie for winning another championship and we wish Rob all the best for his next adventure.
