This week marks National Hospitality Apprenticeship Week (October 2nd to 8th), presenting us with a brilliant time to announce an exciting new partnership with Umbrella Training!

Umbrella Training is one of the leading training and apprenticeship providers within the UK. Specializing in working with hotels, restaurants, food service businesses, and many other corporate service organizations, the company looks to develop specially tailored training programs that help create a meaningful impact nationwide. Since being founded in 2012, the company has been able to support the recruitment, development, and progression of more than 2,000 apprentices, while also being recognized by the likes of Ofsted and the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) in the UK.

The Lensbury joins an array of well-recognized luxury hotels and resorts that have turned to Umbrella Training. This includes the likes of The Savoy, The Goring, The Dorchester, and The Ritz.

We’ve already kick-started this brilliant partnership, with team members either beginning the application process or starting their courses. Maria Scalbroni, a valued member of our restaurant team since joining us in March of this year, recently started her Hospitality Supervisor Level 3 apprenticeship. After attending her Onboarding Day at the end of September in Central London, Maria sat down to talk through her decision to begin the course.

“I decided to start my Hospitality Supervisor Apprenticeship with Umbrella to grow my skills. When there’s a possibility to study and grow, I’m always the first to say yes! My Onboarding day was mind-opening – I learned about safeguarding and other interesting topics, and I can’t wait to get into the details! My goal is to be proud of myself and make all the people who believe and have believed in me proud of me!”

We’re super excited to see how Maria progresses in her venture to achieve her apprenticeship qualifications and look forward to welcoming many other members of our team onto the diverse and wide array of programs offered by Umbrella Training.
